Join us for a rockin' night of indie alternative music featuring two of Boise's best rising local bands!
Dela Freed is an indie alternative band formed in Boise, Idaho. The band is led by songwriter Noah Childs alongside drummer, Josh Malloy and Nish Nandankar on Bass and Keys. Previously releasing music as an independent artist under his own name, Noah had been wanting to form a band. He met Josh while working for a Local film, Noah recording vocals and Josh as an actor on set. Shortly after their encounter, Josh shared that he was in the gym listening to one of Noah's albums and knew in that moment that he had to play music with him. That same day, Josh bought a drum kit and they started jamming and learning songs together. After a year of having no luck finding another member the two eventually found the missing piece to fill out the band's ambitious sound: Nish Nandankar. Release recordings are production heavy, hopeful sounding anthems with the goal to fill the listeners ears and hearts, while live shows are more energized, stripped down, engaging versions with the goal of making every show they play their best.
Sove the Second makes music for the overwhelmed, the deep feelers, and the over thinkers. They write about entering other worlds on SSRIs, falling apart in your twenties, cowboy breakups, and eating Zots. If you've recently done your own stick and poke, called your senators, or took an hour long shower, you've found the right artist. These days, the band has yet to put a ring on a genre. With their debut EP, Nostalgia, the group started in the land of singer-songwriter and alt-indie; later they traveled over to the world of electronic, hip hop, and lofi with their next EP Loop Soup With Jamz; with their most recent single, "Heartbroke Cowpoke", Sove The Second is jumping on the spaghetti western cowboy bandwagon, but give it an orchestral and cinematic twist. Although the group remains non-genrenomous, the cello's lead appearance in each release threads a unique sound that integrates classic elements where it's not always considered.

The Mad Swede Brew Hall has been hosting Boise's hottest comedy shows since 2021, when it opened as the second tasting room of Mad Swede Brewing and the home club of Blue City Comedy.
