About Us
Capital City Sound Chorus
In 1969, a group of women in Boise, ID organized a chorus to be a part of Sweet Adelines International. On June 22, 1970 Boise Chorus was officially chartered. Over the years, several name changes occurred - Boise Valley Chorus, Treasure Valley Chorus, Treasure Valley Showtime Chorus. In August 2013 a new name was settled upon, Capital City Sound, when Syringa Sound Chorus (which had chartered in 2010) merged with Treasure Valley Showtime. At the time, both had a membership of about 20 women and both performed throughout the valley quite successfully. The resulting merger created a chorus with more voices, energy and dynamism.
